Roseleaf Café at Dubai Garden Centre
Hidden away in the oasis of the Dubai Garden Centre, The Roseleaf Café is my go-to breakfast spot after workouts at nearby Flywheel or 1six8 . My favourite thing about this place is quality value for money. So often I go to places for a quick bite and leave feeling like I should’ve had a three-course meal for the price. Offering yummy home cooked goodness the counter rotates a range of healthy salads, hearty sandwiches as well as traditional meals and nourishing soups. You can also pick up energy balls and tasty bakes to satisfy your sweet treat fixes for the rest of day.
MUST TRIES: Avocado and tomato on omega toast – they drizzle some sort of basil pesto olive oil dressing on the top which takes this dish to another level! Check out the delicious smoothies too – I love the green machine.

The breakfast menu at Sophie’s is one of the best I’ve ever seen. There is something for EVERYONE…loads of egg dishes – florentine, benedict, a variety of avocado toasties including vegan options, gluten-free granola, chia seed pudding and traditional cooked meat feast breakfasts. You could meet any group of friends here and everyone will find something they love. Often, it’s tricky when some people love meat and others are vegan. At Sophie’s, everyone is happy – a rare and unique find in Dubai. All of the food is organic too!
The lunch mix and match salad counter will have you drooling. I always want to try more than one thing on the menu so this concept is perfect for me. Choose two salads with a protein item, for example, mandarin quinoa salad, broccoli and cauliflower slaw alongside poached salmon or, honey glaze and ginger carrot salad, corn and avocado salad, topped with roasted chickpeas in a mustard dressing. YUM!
MUST TRIES: Vegan breakfast – This brekkie is memory making (I need to get back to this place soon!) Sautéed mushrooms, grilled tomato, home-style beans, asparagus, sautéed spinach, avocado and three-seed toast….if you love your veggies, you have to try it! My meat-obsessed husband tried mine and he can’t wait to return and order his with a side of bacon.

One Café at Life ‘N One Wellness Centre
I only discovered this place recently and I just can’t believe I’ve never been before. Once I’ve had the baby, I feel like I could just hangout in the garden all day drinking matcha green tea lattes. The place is so chilled – you feel like you’re in your own back garden – I love it. The café is such a welcome relief from all of the glitzy, shiny, typical Dubai-type places. It’s really casual, relaxed, totally authentic and natural.
One of my favourite things about One Cafe is the menu – completely plant based, organic, gluten, sugar, dairy and GMO free. I have plans to work my way through the entire dessert section. I tried the delicious ice-cream sandwich but next time I have my eye on the pumpkin tart or the chocolate mousse. And the best thing is, they serve breakfast ALL DAY!
MUST TRIES: Chickpea omelette – I don’t know how on earth they make the substitute “egg” mixture but I need to find out. It’s incredible! And the Guacamole – I was full and couldn’t stop eating it. Need I say more?!
